I was participating Northern Game Summit 2013 today and yesterday. It was great!

I just created the skype group, all of you who are not in it either send me a message on skype (patrik.j94) or try other ways, like steam!

It was fun guys, sorry I had to go for dinner...

I gave it a try earlier and I cannot figure this out at all.

My house is terrible, the walls refuse to line up, and there is this NPC who REFUSES to talk to me...



ALSO, when I go a foot away from my house the sky turns purple and these giant flying beetles murder me.

I would just hold you guys back, give me a day or five of learning the ropes and THEN I might not be so terrible.

I found that to talk to an NPC I have to right click them... >.>;
After talking to the guide a few times I am now here

This should meet the minimal requirements for four houses, right?
But... when I try it they say they don't count as a house? x.x Minecraft houses are easier, you just need a door and a block over that door and then behind it from there a couple blocks back. I:

First of all, some of the walls are made of grass and raw stone, so the house isn't fully surrounded by walls (there is a TREE growing in your house ). Second, I see you have some unfilled space in the background wall behind the third platform. Third, but I don't think it's a problem, but you shouldn't make whole floors out of platforms.

Fine, I also edited the terrain as suggested elsewhere so that the NPC would stop trying to kill himself like an idiot

Also hey those weird hearts I've been collecting can be used to get more HP, cool.
Now I think I am prepared to play multiplayer, either that or I should try summoning the Eye of Cthulu...

I thought maybe I will replace some of the grass outside of my house with snow so penguins will spawn and it would snow there.

I only built my house in a snow biome for the snowfal and penguins lol

I asked if people could keep an eye out for sky blue flowers when in the jungle but I misread, it is underground jungles that is where those spawn.
So yeah, sorry about the confusion.

I'm not sure, but I did this with jungle grass seeds and I think the background changed to jungle background. In my old save, about one or two years ago.

lol well I already drained a lake and cleared a mountain and built a massive stairway where before was just an ugly side of a massive mountain... I am keeping my house there. =b

lol the Terraria wiki is terrible, literally just an hour or four ago I found out that the flower spawns in both the underground and above ground Jungles and then I updated the wiki's article for it.
Grab me seeds of that flower if you can? idk how plants work

Those kind of flowers can only be used for dyes, so you can't get seeds from them, but I believe you can replant it anyways.

Looks like I am getting silver then since that can be bought at a dye seller and hey my personal world just got a dye seller!

Speaking of personal lol I tried to not take too high of stuff from the community chest because I wanted to get stuff on my own but then the pirate nation attacked and I just donned the first gear in there I found to stop from constantly dying lol
Maybe my house should have a graveyard of all of my grave stones...

Would anyone be interested in a constantly online server?

I could probably hook something together to run it that is fairly powerful and I imagine Terraria isn't quite so Elder Scrolls Online in processing requirements so it should run smoothly...

The problem with that of course is that not everyone would be online at the same time and so people would choose times best for them and then the server would be pretty dead...

Scent tree already got one set up, it's just that we'll miss each other more if it's 24/7. But as easy at a fingersnap.

Hey could anyone who knows how to use actuators help me out?

This is my house, it is not miss-able lol (see the minimap for why)



Also to anyone passing by I left the third floor wide open to just walk through if you can't get over it.
