I joined the server today and started building my own place... aside from massive lagfest when server is generating new chunks it was quite good... I will join whenever I have some free time and free computer at hand

it was on the 6th and even tho I had fun in the beta it just doesn't feel worth playing.
The only thing that really set it apart was the combat, which I loved but other than that it is just your same old kill X amount of Y mobs and collect their skins and it's just been done too much for it to be interesting any more.

Maybe this is the problem?
The problem I am talking about is the massive lag when:
1) you are logging on
2) you are exploring and server is generating new chunks
3) you are revisiting chunks not visited for long periods of time
